The Wake Forest-Rolesville High School (WFRHS)
Theatre Department has been invited to perform in
Edinburgh, Scotland, at the 2005 International Fringe
Festival. WFRHS is one of only 50 high schools in the
United States selected by the American High School
Theatre Festival to attend this year’s festival.

WFRHS students have been chosen for the trip based
on their academic standing, citizenship and work ethic,
as well as a quantifiable score established by WFRHS
teachers to measure each student’s participation in
events to prepare for the trip. Before attending the
Fringe Festival, which is August 2 – 15, these students
will spend the coming months training, rehearsing and
working together as a team. In Scotland, they will
perform multiple times under the high-paced pressure of
an international arena. This is truly an exceptional
opportunity to expand their global perspective, develop
an appreciation for other cultures, and learn valuable
leadership and team-building skills.

In order to make this trip happen, we need your support.
We do not want any student to be excluded because of
financial constraints. Fundraising initiatives will ensure
that all students have an opportunity to participate. The
cost of the trip, which is projected to be $105,000,
includes meals, housing, and admission to venues at
the Fringe Festival as well as the necessary travel
expenses for students and props.
